This unusual range is no coincidence – each blade configuration cuts the lawn differently, down to the fine details. On this page, you’ll learn what’s behind the three numbers, so you can deliberately choose the mowing disc instead of simply guessing.
5, 6 or 7 blades – what the number really means
Imagine a single rotation of the Mähteller: each blade that passes by creates a cut. Five blades create five cuts per rotation, seven blades seven – at the same speed and the same pace. The more cutting points, the shorter the pieces that land on the ground. All three discs are mounted identically on the EUFY C15 and are supplied with protective frame; you choose exclusively the cutting density.
Fewer cut edges, but more clearance between the blades: for normal lawns that the C15 keeps short anyway on a regular basis, this configuration is completely sufficient. The disc runs smoothly, and clippings easily find their way outside.
The golden mean and the most commonly chosen option: six cutting blades capture the grass closely, without overloading the mowing disc. If you simply want to replace a worn disc and keep the familiar cut pattern, this is the right choice.
Two cuts more per revolution than with the 5-blade: the clippings are noticeably broken into smaller pieces and disappear during mulching between the stems. The choice for dense, vigorous growth and for everyone who values a particularly fine result.
Which number of blades is right for your lawn?
The question is easier to answer than the three numbers suggest. What matters is how much grass the EUFY C15 actually has to cut back during a run – and that depends on your mowing schedule, not on the size of your garden.
If the robotic lawnmower runs frequently and removes only a few millimeters each time, the 5-blade cutting disc is completely sufficient: With short blades, additional cutting points provide hardly any visible benefit. The 6-blade version is the proven all-rounder for mixed conditions – sometimes damp, sometimes after a few days of pause, sometimes with a bit longer grass.
Reach for the 7er-cutting disc when the lawn grows vigorously or when the mulching effect is important to you. More blades break up the cut tips into shorter pieces that sink down between the blades of grass instead of remaining on top as clippings.
A wrong purchase is out of the question: since all three discs fit the same C15 mounting, you can try a different number of blades at any time during the next replacement.
Same technology, same handle
No matter how the number of blades varies – it changes nothing about the design. Every version, including the 5-blade version, is delivered with a protective frame for the mowing disc. It keeps the freely swinging blades in position and ensures that clippings do not get stuck between the disc and the housing and slow down the rotation.
The replacement itself is the same quick handle for all three variants and requires no tools: switch off the robotic lawnmower, carefully tilt it, remove the old cutting disc, fit the new one – done. The blades are already pre-assembled, so you don’t have to screw in a single blade individually.
When the replacement is due, the lawn tells you itself: frayed instead of cleanly separated blade tips, brownish cutting edges, strands that remain standing, or an unsteady, increasingly louder run in the cutting area. After contact with stones, branches, or roots, it’s also worth checking for notches and deformations on the disc.
Before winter, the same applies to every blade count: free the disc from grass residue and moisture, check for cracks, and store it dry. Then the EUFY C15 starts in spring from the very first cut, cleanly.

1. General Safety Instructions
- The operator is responsible for accidents, injuries, and damages caused to other persons or their property.
- Keep children, animals, and uninvolved persons away during work and operation of the robotic mower.

2. Required Tools and Materials

3. Preparation
- Stop the robotic mower completely.

Why is there a cutting disc for the EUFY C15 with 5, 6 and 7 blades?
Because the number of blades determines how many cuts are made per revolution of the mowing disc. Five blades cut more quietly and leave more clearance for the grass to pass through; seven blades break the cuttings into finer pieces. Instead of prescribing a specific blade configuration, we offer all three—mechanically, they fit identically on the C15.
I mow a normal lawn—are 5 blades enough?
In the vast majority of cases, yes. If the EUFY C15 follows its mowing schedule regularly and, each time, only trims by a few millimeters, five sharp blades provide a clean, even cutting pattern. Additional cutting points only bring visible benefits when the grass grows more vigorously or you place special value on fine mulching material.
What changes specifically when I switch from 5 to 7 blades?
Two more cuts are made per revolution. The cut blade tips are therefore shorter and, when mulching, sink between the blades instead of visibly sitting on top. Installation, mounting and handling remain unchanged—only the cutting density.
Does the 5-blade version also have protection on the mowing disc?
Yes. All three variants—5, 6 and 7 blades—are supplied with protection. It supports controlled blade guidance and prevents moist cuttings from getting stuck between the blades and the housing, slowing down rotation.
Can I use a different number of blades at the next replacement?
Yes, anytime. All three discs sit on the same mounting for the EUFY C15, so you can switch easily between 5, 6 and 7 blades. Many customers start with the standard 6-blade version and try the finer 7-blade setup next time.
Does the disc also fit the EUFY E15 or E18?
No. The C15 uses a compact cutting disc with an 18 cm diameter, while the E15 and E18 use 20 cm—these series are not interchangeable. For the E15 and E18, we offer the matching 20-cm variants in a separate version.
Are the blades already mounted, or do I have to attach them myself?
The blades are fully mounted at the factory—five blades for the 5-blade disc, six for the 6-blade disc, and seven for the 7-blade disc. You don’t need to screw in individual blades: the mowing disc is ready to use straight out of the box and is replaced without tools.
How many blade setups does the set with 60 replacement blades last for?
That depends on the selected variant: with five blades, a 60-blade set lasts for twelve complete blade setups; with six blades for ten; and with seven blades for about eight. This way, you have replenishment for the entire season at home and pay less per set than if you buy later as individual replacement blades.
