Compatibility – GARDENA
Fits the following robotic mowers:
- ✓ Sileno Life
- ✓ Sileno+
A Sileno is hardly noticeable in the garden – and that is exactly its merit. It makes its rounds even when it’s drizzling, and you only hear it when something isn’t right. In most cases, it’s then the cutting system. Here you will find the right replacement mowing disc with 6, 7 or 9 blades – each version with blade guard and pre-assembled blades.
6, 7 or 9 blades – which cutting disc fits your Sileno
All three versions come with protective equipment and are supplied pre-installed. The difference lies in the number of cuts per revolution – and in the scope of delivery: The 6-blade disc is intended for Sileno Life and Sileno+, the 7- and 9-blade versions for the Sileno Life. Please check the model designation of your robotic lawnmower and the design of the existing disc before placing your order.

The classic one-to-one replacement – and the only variant that is also intended for the Sileno+. If your robot has been running quietly for years and you want to restore exactly this condition, this is the right choice.

For the Sileno Life. One more cut per revolution distributes the work across more edges – noticeably where the lawn grows strongly after rainy days and the area otherwise looks uneven.

Also for the Sileno Life. Nine edges meet every blade most often and leave the finest cut pattern – for lawn areas that you can’t even tell from up close that a machine has mowed them.

When the quiet classic suddenly becomes noticeable
You buy the Sileno for its unobtrusiveness: it goes around its rounds, it also works in light drizzle, and you hardly notice it in everyday life. That is exactly why a changed sound is the most honest warning signal that this robotic lawnmower knows.
A quiet knocking, a humming that wasn’t there before, a robot that works noticeably more stubbornly: Almost always, the cause is down at the cutting system. A disc that has taken a hit no longer runs smoothly and out of balance – the imbalance transfers as vibration to the entire mowing unit.
And then there’s the cut pattern on the lawn. Dull blades tear the blades of grass instead of separating them; the tips fray and turn brown. The area looks tired, even though the robot was younger and more frequently in use than ever before.
A fresh mowing disc restores both: the clean cut and the calm, quiet circular run you are used to from your Sileno. The disc is delivered fully equipped and fits in the existing mount without any tinkering.
A small service once a year instead of a surprise
The Sileno is one of the robotic lawnmowers that simply runs – and that’s why it’s easy to forget. If you spend ten minutes on it once a year, you practically never end up in the situation, in the middle of the season, of having a device that no longer mows cleanly.
The appointment is easy to remember: once at the start of the season, before the grass really gets going. Switch off the robot, carefully tilt it, remove the old disc, and fit the new one – you usually don’t need any tools for this, and since the blades are already mounted, the individual screwing on is also eliminated.
The protective frame is included with all three versions. It supports the blade guidance during operation and keeps the cutting area freer when moist cuttings want to collect around the disc. Especially with the Sileno, which also drives through dewy, early-morning grass, that matters.
And when the robotic lawnmower goes into winter sleep in autumn: remove the mowing disc, clean it, check for notches and deformation, and store it dry. Anyone who fits a fresh cutting disc in spring starts the new season without any rework.

Select the desired number of blades above – 6, 7, or 9; if you like, right away together with 60 replacement blades. Each version includes a guard and fully mounted blades, so your Sileno turns its rounds again just as quietly as you know it.

Top reviews
Works right away with my GARDENA SILENO+; the cutting disc with 6 blades fits snugly, and the protective rim is great, so it doesn’t get stuck quickly in thicker or damp grass. I swapped it in a few minutes and since then my robot has been mowing nicely and evenly again.
I’ve now tested this cutting disc for a few weeks on my Gardena Sileno Life in my small city garden, and it runs smoothly and evenly. The 6 blades fit snugly, and the protective rim really helps prevent clogging, especially when the grass has just been wet. One downside: the replacement went fine, but I did have to look for which direction the slot should face before everything dropped in smoothly. Fleur
After comparing multiple options, I chose this cutting disc for my Gardena Sileno Life. After trying two other brands, this one fits really well: the 6 blades click into place neatly, and the protective edge helps with dense and wet grass, keeping the mowing quality more consistent. I can swap it in easily, and on the first wet cut I noticed fewer clogged spots than before.

Frequently asked questions
Does the disc fit both the Sileno Life and the Sileno+?
That depends on the variant. The 6-blade version is intended for compatible Sileno Life and Sileno+ models. The 7-blade and 9-blade versions are designed for compatible Sileno Life models. Since, for Gardena robotic lawnmower replacement parts, the mounting, fastening, and dimensions may differ depending on the model generation, please compare the model name of your device and the design of the existing disc before ordering.
My Sileno has suddenly become louder—could that be due to the cutting disc?
Very often, yes. A mowing disc that has taken a hit or is bent no longer runs smoothly and is properly balanced, and this imbalance is transferred as vibration and humming to the cutting system. Unevenly worn blades also cause instability in the rotation. Check the disc for notches and deformations—especially because a Sileno normally works so quietly, a changed sound is a reliable indicator.
When during the year should I best replace the cutting disc?
The easiest way is to schedule the replacement for the start of the season in spring, before the grass begins to grow properly. That way, you enter the growth phase with a fresh cutting system and avoid the cutting quality dropping off exactly when the robot has the most to do. A second good time to check is during winterization in autumn.
Do all three versions have a protective feature?
Yes. The 6-, 7- and 9-blade versions are each supplied with a guard. It supports controlled blade guidance during operation and helps reduce grass blockages on the mowing disc—which is particularly important for the Sileno, since these robotic lawnmowers are also used in damp grass and light drizzle.
Are the blades already mounted on the disc, or do I need to screw them on?
The blades are already fully mounted. You receive the mowing disc as a complete unit—6 blades for the 6-blade version, 7 for the 7-blade version, and 9 for the 9-blade version—and install it directly out of the packaging. There is no need to individually screw in the blades.
What tools do I need for the blade replacement on the Sileno?
Usually none. Switch off the robotic lawnmower, carefully tip it over, remove the old disc, fit the new one—this is done in just a few minutes and requires no technical prior knowledge. Since the blades are already mounted, the entire process consists of two hand movements.
How does the number of blades affect the cut pattern?
The more blades there are on the disc, the more often each blade of grass is hit per revolution, and the finer the cut pattern becomes. The 6-blade version is the classic replacement and restores the familiar condition, the 7-blade version distributes the work across one additional edge, and the 9-blade version delivers the finest cut. So it’s not the same cutting quality at three different prices, but a tiered improvement.
Is this an original Gardena replacement part?
No, it is a compatible mowing disc from CUT GUARD. It is manufactured to fit precisely into the mounting of the specified Sileno models and is designed for continuous operation in the robotic mower—an alternative to the original part with protection and pre-assembled blades. Please check the model designation and the design of the existing disc before purchasing.
