Compatibility – MOVA
Fits the following robotic mowers:
- ✓ VIAX 250
- ✓ VIAX 300
- ✓ VIAX 500
Whether the lawn in front of the house looks like a well-kept carpet or looks tired depends on the mowing disc of your VIAX. Here you will find the right replacement cutting disc for MOVA VIAX 250, 300 and 500 – optionally with 6, 7 or 9 blades, each version with protective frame and pre-assembled blades.
6, 7 or 9 blades – how well-groomed should your lawn look?
All three versions fit identically on VIAX 250, VIAX 300 and VIAX 500 and are each supplied with a protective frame. The difference lies in the cut pattern: the more blades work on the mowing disc, the finer each blade of grass is trimmed – and the more well-groomed the area looks when viewed from the terrace.

The classic replacement for the worn disc: six sharp blades restore the cut your VIAX was delivered with at the beginning. The right choice when you want the lawn to look neat and even again.

With seven blades, every blade of grass is captured more often and cut cleanly. The result is especially noticeable on areas you see every day: the lawn looks denser and more even, without your VIAX needing to drive differently.

Nine blades shorten the grass at particularly short intervals – the finest cut pattern in this series. For everyone who sees the lawn as the calling card of the garden and doesn’t want to discover frayed tips even up close.

Why the lawn can look dull despite mowing every day
Your VIAX reliably makes its rounds, and yet the lawn loses its shine: the area looks lackluster, the rich green gives way to a grayish haze. The cause is almost always underneath the robotic lawnmower – worn blades tear the blades of grass instead of cutting them cleanly.
Torn blades of grass dry out at the cut point and turn brown. Up close, it’s only a few millimeters; from a few meters away, thousands of such tips add up to exactly the tired impression you notice when you’re having coffee on the terrace.
A fresh cutting disc for MOVA VIAX 250, 300 and 500 turns the cut pattern around: smooth cutting edges that stay green, an evenly dense lawn carpet, and a robotic lawnmower that no longer has to work against resistance from dull blades – which also protects the motor.
The disc arrives fully equipped: all blades are already mounted, there’s nothing to screw on and nothing to prepare – unpack, attach, and the next round of your VIAX already shows the difference.
The protective frame keeps the mowing disc free – and your evening calm
No matter whether you choose 6, 7 or 9 blades: every version of this cutting disc includes a protective frame that keeps the blades securely in position and keeps the grass flow through the mowing disc open. Damp clippings that would otherwise wrap around the blades and slow down rotation get significantly less surface area to cling to.
You’ll notice it less on the robotic lawnmower than in the evening on the terrace: no clumps of grass left behind in the area, no half-cut spots where the VIAX has gotten stuck – just a lawn that looks finished when you come home.
Maintenance is also a secondary matter: remove the old cutting disc, attach the new one – the swap is done in just a few minutes and, as a rule, requires no tools. After contact with branches, stones, or roots, it’s worth taking a quick look at the mowing disc before the next round starts.
Before winter, it’s enough to free the cutting disc from grass residue and moisture – this way, your MOVA starts in spring right away with a clean first cut into the new season.

Simply select the blade count above that matches your needs – 6, 7, or 9, optionally right away as a 60 blades set with replacement blades. Each variant fits MOVA VIAX 250, 300, and 500 and is delivered ready to install with protective frame and mounted blades.
Top reviews
I bought a new cutting disc for my MOVA VIAX 300 after the grass started to clump a bit in tougher areas, and it actually seems to help. With the six blades and the guard, everything runs more evenly with fewer stops, even in my slightly larger yard shed area of around 600 m². The swap itself was smooth and the fit is good. However, it arrived in a rather thin cardboard box, so the packaging felt a bit on the light side when you get it home in mailbox mode.
I bought the cutting disc for my MOVA VIAX 300. After the grass started sticking to the cutting equipment in the slightly thicker areas, I tried two other brands and ended up here—the included protection and the six blades made a clear difference: fewer grass blockages and a smoother run. It also fit without any problems, and I could mount it quickly without adjusting anything. Christian

Frequently asked questions
My VIAX mows regularly—why does the lawn still look brown and dull?
This is the typical look of worn blades: they tear the blades of grass instead of cutting them cleanly. The split tips dry out and turn brown—so from a few meters away, the entire area looks dull. A fresh cutting disc with sharp blades restores the smooth, green-looking cut edges.
Do I need different cutting discs for VIAX 250, VIAX 300, and VIAX 500?
No. All three models use the same blade plate mount, so any version of this cutting disc—whether 6, 7, or 9 blades—fits VIAX 250, 300, and 500 equally. Before ordering, simply compare the model name of your robot and the design of the existing disc.
Can you really see the difference between 6, 7, and 9 blades in the lawn?
Yes, especially on areas you see every day. With 6 blades, you get the proper standard cut; with 7, each blade of grass is captured more often and the area looks denser; with 9 blades, you get the finest cutting pattern in the series—smooth tips that look well maintained even up close. All three variants are installed the same way.
Is the protective cover included only with a certain number of blades?
No, all three versions—6, 7 and 9 blades—are supplied with protection. It keeps the blades securely in position and keeps the grass flow on the disc clear, so that damp grass clippings do not wrap around the blades and slow down rotation. So when switching variants, you don’t have to give anything up.
Do I still need to screw the blades on myself after unpacking?
No. The blades are already firmly mounted on the disc at the time of delivery—depending on the version, 6, 7 or 9 pieces. You take the disc out of the packaging, place it on, and your VIAX can go on to the next round right away with fresh cutting.
How much effort is it to change the cutting disc on the MOVA VIAX?
A matter of just a few minutes: switch off the robot, carefully tilt it, remove the old disc, fit the new one—typically completely without tools. Wear gloves, because even dull blades still have sharp edges. After contact with branches or stones, it’s also worth taking a quick look at the disc.
Who is the set with 60 replacement blades worth it for?
For everyone who wants the lawn to look good every day. Blades inevitably become dull over time—by swapping them with the 60-pack supply, you replace them right away instead of waiting for a reorder, and the cut stays fine throughout the whole season. In the set, the replenishment also costs less than buying individual replacements later.
Is this an original MOVA replacement part?
No, this is a compatible cutting disc from CUT GUARD. It is manufactured to fit precisely the mounting for the mowing disc of MOVA VIAX 250, 300 and 500, is supplied with protection and pre-assembled blades, and is designed for regular use in the robotic mower—an alternative to the original part that can be delivered quickly.
