Compatibility – ECOVACS
Fits the following robotic mowers:
- ✓ GOAT O500
- ✓ GOAT O800
- ✓ GOAT O1200
- ✓ GOAT G1-800
- ✓ GOAT G1-2000
Your ECOVACS GOAT circles with centimeter-precision around flower beds, trees, and garden furniture – but precise navigation helps little when dull blades at the end only tear the grass blades off. Here you will find the right replacement cutting disc for GOAT O500, O800, O1200, G1-800 and G1-2000: with 6, 7 or 9 blades, each variant with blade guard and pre-assembled blades.
6, 7 or 9 blades – how finely should your GOAT cut?
Mechanically, all three versions are the same: they mount on the same attachment and can be installed on any of the five GOAT models. The only difference is how often a blade is hit per rotation – and thus how fine the cut edge turns out at the end.

The classic setup with blade guard. If your GOAT has cut cleanly so far and the disc has simply worn through, you can restore the as-delivered condition – without changing the familiar cut pattern.

Seven cutting points instead of six: Each blade of grass is captured once more per rotation. This is especially noticeable where the lawn grows vigorously and the blades are thicker than in ornamental grass.

Nine blades deliver the finest cut pattern in this series. The clippings are so small that they disappear between the blades of grass – the right choice if you want your lawn to look immaculate even from two meters away.

Precise navigation, imprecise cutting edge
An ECOVACS GOAT detects obstacles, avoids them, and plans the area. However, this intelligence ends exactly where the blade meets the stem: whether you get a clean cut or a crushed fiber is decided solely by the cutting system – no sensor and no app.
After a few weeks of continuous operation, the blade edges wear down. The robotic lawnmower continues to follow its route, but it no longer cuts; it tears: the tips of the stems fray, turn brown after one or two days, and the lawn looks dull instead of fresh despite daily mowing. Many then look for the problem in the settings – but it’s located under the housing.
A fresh cutting disc is the most affordable intervention with which you can noticeably improve cutting quality: no software update, no navigation component—just the exact part where the work actually happens. The disc is delivered with blades already mounted, fitting the mounting for all five GOAT models.

Well-guided blades stay sharp longer
All three versions feature a guard on the mowing disc. It keeps the freely swinging blades on their path and prevents clippings from getting stuck between the disc and the housing. Exactly this grass jam otherwise slows down the rotation—and a blade that turns more slowly cuts worse, no matter how sharp it is.
The swap itself requires no tools: switch off the robotic lawnmower, carefully tilt it, remove the old mowing disc, and attach the new one. Because the blades are delivered already mounted, the individual screwing on of the blades – is also no longer necessary – after two minutes, the GOAT is back on the lawn.
It’s worth taking a quick look underneath the protective frame whenever the robotic lawnmower has hit something solid: stones in the edge area, fallen branches, or forgotten toys leave notches in the blades and can warp the mowing disc – a mowing disc with impact runs unevenly and unnecessarily stresses the mowing unit. The same applies before the winter break, but calmly: brush off grass clippings, check for cracks, and store it dry.
Select the desired number of blades above – 6, 7, or 9, if you like directly together with 60 replacement blades. Each variant fits ECOVACS GOAT O500, O800, O1200, G1-800 and G1-2000 and is delivered ready to install.
Top reviews
The blade department for the ECOVACS GOAT is solid and does its job well, but the packaging was not as sturdy as expected, causing one of the blades to arrive slightly damaged. After trying two other brands, I found that this one offers a better cutting experience, and the included protection is a nice extra. It is a good purchase for anyone who wants to maintain their robotic lawnmower well.
The cutting disc with blade guard fits my ECOVACS GOAT O800 exactly, and it came with 6 replacement blades. I replaced it in about 15 minutes, and only a couple of screws/fasteners need to be handled before it sits perfectly flat. The cutting edge is even again, and no blades feel loose after installation!

Frequently asked questions
Does a disc really fit all GOAT models from O500 to G1-2000?
Yes. ECOVACS uses the same mowing disc mount for the GOAT O500, O800, O1200, G1-800 and G1-2000, so each of the three variants fits without any adapter or modification. However, please compare the model name on your robot and the design of the installed cutting disc before placing your order.
My GOAT navigates perfectly, yet the lawn looks dull. What could be the reason?
Navigation and cutting quality are two separate things. The robot can plan its routes perfectly and steer around obstacles cleanly—whether the blade cuts the stalk smoothly at the end or only crushes it is determined solely by the blade. Rounded cutting edges can be recognized by frayed stalk tips that start turning brown after one to two days. In that case, adjusting in the app won’t help—what you need is a fresh mowing disc.
Which blade count should I choose for my GOAT—6, 7, or 9?
The 6-blade variant is the direct replacement and restores the familiar condition. The 7-blade variant provides one additional cutting point per revolution and reliably handles vigorously grown, thicker stalks. The 9-blade variant delivers the finest cutting edge and the best mulching effect. All three can be installed the same way—it’s only about the desired cutting result.
Do the 7- and 9-blade variants also have protection on the disc?
Yes, all three versions are supplied with protection for the mowing disc; for the 6-blade version, it is the classic blade guard. The guard guides the freely swinging blades along their path and prevents moist clippings from getting stuck between the blades and the housing, slowing down rotation.
Do I need tools or any handyman skills to change it?
Neither. You switch the GOAT off, carefully tilt it, remove the old mowing disc, and fit the new one on—without a screwdriver. Since the blades are already pre-assembled, there is also no need to individually screw in the blades. The whole process takes only a few minutes; please wear gloves during this time.
Are the blades already mounted on the disc?
Yes. Each disc comes pre-installed with blades— the 6-blade version with 6, the 7-blade version with 7, and the 9-blade version with 9 already mounted blades. So you don’t receive a loose bag of replacement blades to screw on, but a complete mowing disc that you can place directly onto the robot straight from the packaging.
When is the set with 60 replacement blades worth it?
When your GOAT runs regularly. The disc itself lasts significantly longer under normal use than the sharpness of the blades on it—sharpness is the actual consumable. With the 60-blade set, you can add fresh blades as soon as the cutting edge starts to wear down, without having to wait for a delivery in the middle of the season. The unit price in the set is lower than that of a later individual purchase.
Is this an original replacement part from ECOVACS?
No, it is a compatible cutting disc from CUT GUARD. It is manufactured to fit precisely the mounting for the GOAT models O500, O800, O1200, G1-800 and G1-2000, and is designed for continuous operation in the robotic mower — an alternative to the original part, with pre-assembled blades and optionally with 7 or 9 blades, which are not available from the factory like that.
